Novaline weighted blankets vary in weight from 2 kg to 15 kg. How do you choose the weight that suits you fits?

After purchase, it may take a few weeks to get used to your weighted blanket. Give it therefore the time to try it out. Don't like the weighted blanket? Then you can return it within 100 days just return it.

In short: yes, a weighted blanket can be washed in the washing machine at 40 degrees, but most washing machines are not suitable for the weight of a weighted blanket. You can put a "normal" duvet cover on a weighted blanket. There are also special protective covers that you can put around the weighted blanket. The advantage of this is that there are loops in the corners and on the sides of the protective cover. You attach these to the weighted blanket. This prevents that the protective cover shifts during sleep, something that happens very quickly with a duvet cover happens.

Chances are you haven't slept under a weighted blanket before. Therefore, give your body the time to get used to it. You will need about 2 weeks for this. In the beginning, you may notice that you feel very wake up tired. This is because you sleep more deeply, and as a result, you essentially catch up on sleep.

Almost the same. A child small enough to be under a weighted blanket sleeping on 90 x 120 cm will notice the same effect as a 6 kg weighted blanket of 150 x 200. This is because only the weight that lies on the body is important for the desired effect.

Weighted blankets for children are smaller to keep the total weight lower, while you need at least 2 kg weight per square meter and the whole body must be covered be. It is very important that children themselves could easily move and pull off.

Example: your child weighs 18 kg but sleeps in a single bed. You might then say: I have a 6 kg weighted blanket of 200 x 150 cm is needed. But a 6 kg weighted blanket is for your child 33% of their own body weight. Quite heavy indeed.

That is why for children up to a weight of 25 kg we advise purchasing a children's weighted blanket. If your child weighs more than 25 kg and sleeps in a single bed, then you might consider a single weighted blanket to purchase. Always check if your child the weighted blanket:

• can easily pull off
• lies comfortably underneath
• can move well

It really depends on what you find comfortable. You can use a weighted blanket as a replacement use your normal duvet. Often users do this during warmer nights. In terms of warmth class, a weighted blanket is comparable to a duvet with warmth class 2: all seasons. During warm nights you can use a bamboo cover put around the weighted blanket. This one cools. For cold nights you can use a minky fleece cover put around the weighted blanket. This one is nice and warm.
